National Geographic

Kolumba is an art museum in Koln: it shows a collection about religious art and presents works of all the centuries and the exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, presenting the works according to their affinities, instead of their ages or geographical locations. Its architecture, by Peter Zumthor, from the single detail, to the materials choosen, till the rooms sequence along the path, has a intense emotional correspondence with the art collection. I got lucky to visit it in a sunny day.

"Kolumba" - Koln
I took this picture last September and today it has been selected by the National Geographic for its "Daily Dozen", a selection of photos made world wide.
Along the years, the National Geographic has preserved its seriousness and authority as editor and magazine and its choice makes me feel really honored.
